Universal Studios Hollywood is one of the famous and oldest Hollywood film studios and theme parks which is located in Los Angeles County, San Fernando Valley, California. Around 70% of the studio lies within County Island also known as Universal City and the rest of the area falls in Los Angeles, CA. This studio was founded by Carl Laemmle in 1914 but it was opened in the year 1915.
Before becoming a theme park it was created in the beginning for the purpose of offering tours to people of the whole Universal Studios sets. The mountainside setting divides Universal Studios Hollywood Park into two parts upper and lower level. With 21 rides and many other attractions, one can easily enjoy almost everything within a day.
The upper level of the park consists of a number of attractions including Universal Boulevard which includes Universal Plaza the upper level is good if you come here with your whole family. The major attractions at the upper level are Silly Swirly Fun Ride, DreamWorks Theatre, The Secret Life of Pets: Off the Leash, Despicable Me Minion Mayhem, Waterworld: A Live Sea War Spectacular, The Simpsons Ride, Super Silly Fun Land.
The largest themed area in the upper level is The Wizarding World of Harry Potter which is a complete replica of the Harry Potter theme and you will also find the replica of Hogwarts Castle. You can enjoy the roller coaster ride with your family here which is called Flight of the Hippogriff and Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey and can also enjoy the show called Ollivander’s Wand Show. There are two live shows that you can enjoy in this area of the park Triwizard Spirit Rally and Frog Choir.
The lower lot is smaller compared to the upper lot and here you can enjoy four different kinds of rides such as Revenge of the Mummy: The Ride, Transformers: The Ride 3D, Jurassic World: The Ride, and Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge each of these rides have height restrictions.
Other attractions in the lower lot are Power-Up Band Key Challenges, Raptor Encounter, and DinoPlay. In case you want something to eat or want to buy gifts for yourself or for your loved ones then you can find multiple gift shops and restaurants at the lower level.
You can also have a personal expert guided tour of the whole park if you take the Universal Studios Hollywood: VIP Experience pass. This will include almost everything from unlimited express access to all the cool rides, shows, and attractions and access to the express VIP Lounge, high-quality meals, valet parking, and many other things. Remember one thing the tickets are non-refundable and valid only for the date that you selected.
Public transportation is the easy way to come to Universal Studios Hollywood you can come here via metro or bus which will save you a lot of time from parking your vehicle in the parking lot.
